Yours, Peter (2022)

performance, 20'

“Stork, stork, fly away,

Stand not on one leg, I pray,

See your wife is in her nest,

With her little ones at rest.

They will hang one,

And fry another;

They will shoot a third,

And roast his brother."

H. C. Andersen, The Storks

''Yours Peter'' REDUCED.jpg

A dream-overdose, the tragicomedy sameness, and the stork—burdened with more duties than any other feathered creature- meet on a field of reflection around creation, possesion, choice, and imposition, against the backdrop of nature’s vengefulness.

Drawing from Hans Christian Andersen's tale The Storks (1839), this multimedia performance explores the relationship between nature, culture and aesthetics of gender in an absurd, dark gender-reveal party.

The moment has arrived: it’s time to finally learn where babies really come from.
